William Gagnon has a new design he has christened "The Ventura." This is a fine hand-made, custom carved and tap-tuned archtop. We have had phenomenal response from players who have purchased these guitars. We decided this guitar had so much visual appeal, a limited series of custom versions would be exciting to create. This is the very first result. It is called "The Cabernet."
This guitar features a solid matched select AAAA Sitka Spruce top. The back and sides are solid select AAAA flamed Big Leaf maple with a custom burgundy finish. Gagnon guitars are finished to an absolutely flawless gloss level with the finest hand-polished lacquer. The fretboard and tailpiece are the finest ebony as is the pickguard. The body is select AAAA Big Leaf flamed maple with gorgeous white maple binding. The headstock is faced in the finest African Ebony with the Gagnon marque inlaid in Abalone. The rear of the headstock is trimmed in gorgeous figured Rosewood. The pickguard is edged in fineline maple and bound in maple. The tone control is a recessed thumbwheel along the edge of the pickguard. The fingerboard is accented in fineline maple and bound in the same white maple binding as is the heel of the neck.

This guitar is a model we continually have on order. We buy them as fast as Bill can make them and they vanish just as quickly. The last three guitars Bill built for us were sold in two days! We suggest in the strongest terms that you contact us and inquire what is in production. We do not take deposits unless you order a custom guitar made to your specifications. Custom orders take 4-8 months depending upon complexity of your instrument.
We will put you on a waiting list for all regular production Gagnon models and we will call you when we receive, inspect and set each guitar up. We call customers in the order they are put on the waiting list. If you decline the guitar we call the next person on the list. (You really want to be first on the list)
